Dear Customer,

 

Please note that in an advisory to the industry CN has announced the following:

 

 

Despite the unfortunate strike of about 750 Canadian employees in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) union, CN continues to safely run normal rail operations and serve customers as our operational contingency plan has been successfully implemented.

Following the IBEW rejection of CN’s latest offer, Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer Rob Reilly sent a letter to all employees represented by the union to inform them of CN’s latest offer. The letter is available here.

While the Company will keep rail operations running normally, it continues to encourage the IBEW to end its strike through an agreement or through binding arbitration.
 

 

We continue to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as they are received.
