Dear Customer,
The union representing 7,400 port and terminal workers in B.C. has issued a 72-hour strike notice after talks with the bargaining committee for the BC Maritime Employers Association (BCMEA) hit an impasse yesterday.
Having issued 72-hour strike notice, B.C. dockworkers are set to walk off the job at 8 a.m. on July 1.
Please note that as previously advised, delays to cargo handling and movement should be expected in the event of a strike.
We continue to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as new information is received.
Sincerely,
HENSALL GLOBAL LOGISTICS |
