Vaughan IMS - No Ingates for Port of Montreal

Dear Client,

 

Please find below an advisory received from CP:

 

Due to the situation at Port of Montreal with no weekend work coverage, CP will take the below steps effective the dates / times seen below to ensure traffic moving is aligned with Port of Montreal’s work schedule:

  • Effective 00:01 EST Thursday / 15 April, until 06:59 EST Sunday, 18 April, Vaughan Terminal will not be accepting any traffic for all 3 destinations for the Port of Montreal – this includes loaded exports and pregate billed empties.

  • Ocean Carrier’s can start in-gating effective 07:00 Sunday, 18 April, with:

    • Racine – only loaded exports, no pregate billed empties will be permitted. Will reassess on Monday if pregate billed empties can start ingating.

    • Viau – only loaded exports, no pregate billed empties will be permitted. Will reassess on Monday if pregate billed empties can start ingating.

    • Cast – both loaded exports and pregate billed empties accepted.

We are working to confirm if similar application will be applied across the network at other inland receiving locations.
