Dear Customer,
The following information has been received from several sources including CN Rail and Hapag – Lloyd.
[Start]
In eastern Canada, the illegal blockade in Tyendinaga, ON, east of Belleville, ON is in the process of being cleared. CN is working on resuming operations on this part of their network.
CN engineers are now performing track and signal inspections in Belleville and they are hopeful that the first trains can move through the area shortly.
CN have more than 150 trains waiting to pass that point, and it is therefore expected that fully recovery will take an extended period of time.
MGT Terminal in Montreal have withdrawn their announced force majeure for CN rail cargo.
In western Canada, CN’s recovery plan continues.
[End]
We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
Sincerely,
HENSALL GLOBAL LOGISTICS
