Dear Customer,
The following excerpt is taken from a Customer Bulletin received from CN:
[Start]
We would like to update you on the status of the illegal blockades on our rail network.
We would like to inform you that near Spruce Grove, AB, west of Edmonton, AB, a new blockade on CN railway lines has caused train movements to stop. Our mainline has been closed since approximately 5 a.m. local time today, affecting all traffic west of Edmonton to Prince Rupert and Vancouver, BC. This is unrelated to CN's activities. We will be taking the necessary legal actions under the circumstances.
East of Belleville, the injunction orders for the illegal blockade at Tyendinaga, ON, have yet to be enforced and continue to be ignored by the protesters. We have adjusted our operations to serve customers in the face of these challenges, but have been forced to run limited service in the impacted areas until the illegal blockades end.
We would like to thank you for your patience and support during this difficult time. We would also like to thank all the industry associations and our supply chain partners for their support. We will continue to keep you all updated daily on any changes in Eastern Canada and this latest illegal blockade in Alberta.
Should you require any further information please contact your account manager or customer service representative.
[End]
We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
Sincerely,
HENSALL GLOBAL LOGISTICS
