CN – TCRC Negotiations UpdateMonday, August 26, 2024

Dear Customer,
CN and the TCRC held another session at the negotiating table today (Sunday), at which the union presented a global offer. Unfortunately, the union’s offer does not meaningfully advance the negotiations and we remain too far apart, with a lot of work to do to find a compromise that works for our customers, our employees, the company and the Canadian economy.
We are therefore forced to proceed with the issuance a 72-hour lockout notice to the TCRC.
What this means for your shipments
As communicated previously, CN initiated its shutdown plan with embargoes for at-risk cargo. Additional embargoes covering all remaining traffic will be issued on August 19. The embargo schedules are available on www.cn.ca/TCRCinfo. All train movements within Canada will cease as of August 22 at 00:01 ET. Trains coming from the U.S. will be stopped at the border.
For bargaining updates and current embargo status, visit www.cn.ca/TCRCinfo. We will keep you updated as the situation evolves
Please be guided accordingly.
Sincerely,
HENSALL GLOBAL LOGISTICS |
