CPKC and Unifor Reach Tentative Agreement

Dear Customer,

Please find excerpt from an article published by the Canadian Press.

“Thousands of workers represented by Unifor have reached a tentative agreement with Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC), just over a day before a potential strike.

Late Monday, CPKC said it reached a tentative four-year collective agreement with the union, which represents about 1,200 employees in Canada.

The Teamsters Canada Rail Conference Maintenance of Way Employees Division (TCRC-MWED), which represents around 2,300 CPKC engineering service employees in Canada , also reached a tentative four-year collective agreement on Tuesday.

The details of the tentative agreement between TCRC-MWED and CPKC will not be released publicly until the agreement has been ratified.

Separately, Canadian National Railway Co. reached a tentative agreement with the union representing about 750 signals and communication employees across Canada. Its workers had voted 95 per cent in favour of a strike if a deal could not be reached.”

Please reach out to your Hensall Global representative should you have any questions.

Sincerely,
