ILA Potential Work Stoppage

Dear Customer,

CN has issued following update to the industry:

As you may be aware, the potential work stoppage involving the International Long Shoremen’s Association (ILA) impacting US East Coast and Gulf Coast ports is being closely monitored by the CN Team. A strike may take effect on October 01st, 2024 at 0001, if an agreement is not reached.

In preparation to the potential work stoppage, we will stop accepting export traffic for the following origins and destinations.

Toronto

New York/New Jersey and Philadelphia Ports as of September 25th, 2024.

Montreal

New York/New Jersey and Philadelphia Ports as of September 24th, 2024.

Detroit

Mobile and New Orleans Ports September 26th, 2024

Chicago and Memphis

Mobile and New Orleans Ports September 26th, 2024

We will continue to monitor the situation and are working with the required stakeholders to make necessary arrangements in the event there is a labor disruption.

We will provide you more information as we receive further updates on the situation.
