Port of Montreal - UpdateWednesday, August 12, 2020

Dear Customer,
Following update received from the industry:
“From the MEA:
The Maritime Employers Association (MEA) contacted the longshoremen’s union on Sunday evening. There were several exchanges which unfortunately did not result in a truce. The MEA still believes that the solution lies in a truce with obligation of result, such as dispute arbitration. The communication channel remains open.
From Montreal Gateway Terminals Partnership:
Until a truce can be reached, all containerized activities at the Port of the Montreal will continue to be fully paralyzed – this extends to rail, truck and vessel operations.”
We will continue to monitor and advise as new information is made available.
Sincerely,
HENSALL GLOBAL LOGISTICS |
