Dear Customer,
The current infrastructure constraints at UK ports combined with the continued high levels of import cargo coming into the country are causing severe congestion at all major ports of entry.
As such the below carriers intend to implement a UK congestion surcharge due to the on-going situation:
MSC – November 16th, 2020 sail date
Hapag Lloyd – December 7th, 2020 CY Receipt
We will continue to monitor this situation and will advise if there are any changes/mitigation with this market direction. As such, it is imperative that you start to incorporate these increases into your short-term pricing strategies.
